Apartments and a nursery in Seville.
The aim of the project is to fill a lot now occupied by a gas station with a building that hosts a nursery in the ground floor and some apartments on the upper floors.
The lot faces the river on the west part of the city center of Seville and the main problem of the site is the light: too strong on the west facade, too weak to reach all the rooms inside the apartments. The west facade is therefore characterized by a brise-soleil skin that is adjustable depending on the different climate conditions during the year and during the day. Two courtyards let the light reach the interior of every apartment and especially illuminate the nursery.
